ʿEid on a Friday

Q: If ʿEid falls on a Friday, must one still attend Jumuʿah? A: If ʿEid falls on a Friday and a person attends the ʿEid prayer with the Imām, he is granted a concession regarding Jumuʿah. The jurists explain that what is lifted is attendance, not obligation. This distinction is important.
