Shaving the Head after Udhiyah

Q: Is it recommended to shave one’s head after offering the uḍḥiyah?

A: Some of the jurists mention that it is recommended for the person offering a sacrifice to shave their head (men only) after the uḍḥiyah/qubrani has been slaughtered.

Imām Aḥmad specifically mentioned this practice based upon what was narrated from Ibn ʿUmar (may Allah be pleased with them) describing it as a way of honoring and venerating the day of Eid al-Aḍḥā.

This is also because they were prohibited from removing hair and so it becomes recommended similar to the muhrim.
